Torre del Mare Architectural Park - Bergeggi - Casa Galli
Da Vedere
Construction: 1958-1959
Location: Via Torre d’Ere, 25, 17028 Bergeggi SV
Builder: Tizzoni
The house directly adjacent to Casa Trotti had similar characteristics, leading them to be considered "twins." Recently, the characteristic appearance of the cantilevered parapets was altered, much to Galvagni's dismay.
The villa is developed on the upper level of the street, with access via an external staircase on the right side of the lot. It has been significantly modified, both in the design of the terraces and the window fenestration, retaining few original parts except the masonry. Constructed with exposed natural concrete, the structure resembles continuous masonry.
The floors were designed to be marble and Venetian-style, wheras the exterior and interior plasters are of a standard type and the roof was intended to be walkable terraces, with a reinforced brick structure.
The building is laid out freely on a single level, featuring a living-dining room, two bedrooms with an alcove, a bathroom, a kitchen, plus a garage at street level.
Thus, the total number of rooms was five, including the toilets and this way the land could be fully utilized, with a height delimitation subordinated to a single step and a free garden layout (terrace) in the plan.
