Torre del Mare Architectural Park - Bergeggi - Casa Tibso
Da Vedere
Construction: 1958-1959
Location: Via Caravaggio, 10a, 17028 Bergeggi SV
Builder: Tizzoni
This is a "terraced" structure consisting of two mirror-image units. This corresponds to the left portion and is positioned on the uphill side with access from below.
The street level is built with walls clad in natural stone, and it includes the garage; on the left side is the staircase leading to the first floor and the garden. The long balcony, creatively designed, spans the first two levels.
Internally, the house is developed over two levels connected by a circular internal staircase at the back.
The structure is assimilated to a system of continuous masonry, partly in natural stone and partly in exposed concrete, whereas the portico consists of block concrete structures and the roof is designed as an accessible terrace.
The attics are made of reinforced brick and the floors are of marble and grit, with the exterior and interior plasters of a standard type.
The house consists of two residential floors forming a single dwelling and a garage on the street level: The lower floor constitutes the living area, comprising two rooms plus a kitchen and a service area (living-dining room, bedroom, toilets and kitchen), whereas the upper floor, which features the sleeping area, includes two bedrooms plus a "complete bathroom equipped with standard sanitary fixtures." The house, therefore, includes four rooms with toilets.
