Torre del Mare Architectural Park - Bergeggi - Casa Bertilone
Da Vedere
Construction: 1959-1960
Location: Via Caravaggio, 23, 17028 Bergeggi SV
Builder: Tizzoni
The single-family house is developed on two residential levels raised on a base clad in local stone.
On the main facade, there are a series of three "square mushroom" elements with planters on top, creating an original portico with greenery above that connects landscape-wise to a group of existing “umbrella pines” uphill.
Horizontally, the connection is made through a "free garden benching." This structure is made of exposed reinforced concrete where the house alternates between stone-clad parts and plastered surfaces.
The structure, with exposed cast concrete walls and a flat roof, are decoratively arranged for views from above.
The attics are made of reinforced brick, the floor is Venetian style, and both exterior and interior plasters are of a standard type.
The house has two residential floors, a garage and contains a single dwelling: the lower floor has one room occupied by the kitchen and the upper floor has three bedrooms and a bathroom, making a total of four rooms plus one toilet.
