Descrizione
At the foot of Monviso, the highest mountain in the Cottian Alps in Piedmont (also known as "Re di Pietra", the King of Stone) originates the River Po, the longest river in Italian territory. The environment of this hike is very rocky, interspersed with small lakes and charming waterfalls; walking in the presence of the "Re di Pietra" is truly a unique experience.
Starting from Pian del Re, it is almost certain that during the loop hike you will encounter ibexes, very numerous on the walls of this mountain, which is well suited to their characteristics as "climbers".
